Is yours free to use?

A link or iframe has no license fee. Local review needs no account, and the free offer includes the first 5 cloud teaching projects.

Where are the DICOM images stored: locally or in the cloud?

Local review stays in the browser and cannot be shared. A course embed is saved to your account: project metadata is stored in MongoDB and derived image data in S3-compatible object storage. The current import flow does not save the original DICOM file.

How much data can be used for free?

The free offer includes up to 5 cloud teaching projects, each up to 500 MB. One project is one teaching case, not one image slice or DICOM instance.

What is the paid price?

Cloud storage for up to 20 projects is $20/month; the link or iframe remains free. Payment is currently by transfer. For more than 20 projects, contact us; there is no public price.

Local review and a course embed are different

Local review

Local projects are available only while this browser tab is open; they are not saved locally and cannot be shared with students.

Course embed

A course embed is saved to your account. Project metadata is stored in MongoDB and derived image data in S3-compatible object storage. The current import flow does not save the original DICOM file.

How a case gets into the lesson

  1. Use a pre-de-identified teaching case

    Use only a pre-de-identified teaching case. The service does not automatically remove all identifiers or inspect pixel data for embedded patient information.

  2. Save it in the account

    Choose account storage and make the project available by link. A local project cannot be embedded.

  3. Add the link or iframe to your course

    Use the generated link or iframe on a page that allows embedded content. Your LMS or site administrator may need to allow it; compatibility with your specific platform still needs to be confirmed.
